Willard 9-23
#1
My buddie and I hit Willard this morning. Got on the water about 8:30, trolled for a while in a couple of diferent places. Chased some bird sightings and finally ended up over by the South launch ramp. We had 2 poles out each, one on down riggers and the other on top. We started a run and both hooked up at the same time. From then on we never hooked up without having at least a double hookup. One triple and one pass through we had fish on on all 4 poles at once. One got off but we netted 3 of the four. We kept our limits of big wipers and let a bunch go. And we were off the pond by 11:30. I've never had it so fast. But it seemed like the boats that gathered around us weren't catching much. We just had the lucky sticks or lures today. What a blast. Thanks to Doug Miller there was a lot of boats out there today. 3 or 4 times as many as last week. Hope to get up there again before they turn off for the winter.

Thanks for the report Keith, were you fishing in front of the channel to the south marina? Were you using the same lure on all your poles? Earlier this year we had a day like yours was yesterday, we also had a quad hookup but got all four in, it was an awesome day. It sure is fun when every goes right, those days are rare and I fell lucky to get one of them a year. WH2

Sounds like a great day on the pond. Those days are the ones that keep you going back when the skunk come around.
