Deer Creek tonight

fished from 5-7 tonight on the west side by the dam. Caught 7, 6 smallies and 1 17 inch fat bow. I was using a sinking rainbow rapala like always.

yes i have been after the smallies all summer, lets say that Deer Creek is as a bipolar a lake as i have ever seen. I have caught some nice ones this past summer, one being about 3 pounds. The fish I caught on friday were reletively small, fish were anywhere in length 3-12 inches. Crazy how a bass trys to eat a rapala almost its size. I should be able to hook into some more bows this next week, as they make there way towards show and feed on the bait fish.

not lately, in july i caught some, do know what to use to specifically target them and where would they be this time a year? I always fish the backside from the bank near the damn in the first inlet.
