- Willard for Wipers, Walleye from the dikes or the marina should be good
- East Canyon for trout
- Mantua for perch, largemouth and bluegill
- Echo for perch, trout
- Jordanelle has very limited shore fishing for perch and smallies and trout. Most fish it from a boat/tube/etc.
- Deer Creek has lots of easy shore access where you should be able to get into the smallies and maybe trout if you fish really early or late
- There are a few community waters around SLC
Others closer to SL should be able to give you a bit more specific info.

thanx cat man. i guess i should mention i'm familliar with all the waters around utah. slc is home, i've only been away for 1 year and i can't wait to get back. my question is geared more towards which waters are producing the best from shore right now moreso than what has access to shoreline. hows the provo doing where it pours into deer creek for some spin fishin? i mostly use rapalas over there for some nice brownies and bows but haven't really had a chance to hit it but once very early this this year.

Sorry can't help you there. It's hunting season and I haven't been fishing for awhile.[unimpressed]

I fished Mantua on Saturday with the grandkids. We were ther for about 6 hours and got a total of 7 bass 11 perch and 1 bluegill from shore. The cold weather has sent them to deeper water.I even talked to a few people coming in on boats and they weren't doing that well either.
