Slow day a Bear lake 10/14/05
#1
Wiperslayer and I arrived around 7am, BLM, Old_Coot, AFDan and Baitcaster were already there getting ready. We all headed out to our favorite spot and were marking plenty of fish, right off the bat. There were a couple of bait fish caught(sucker) but other than that it was a slow morning. We continued looking around for a hot spot but were having no luck. Baitcaster and the friend he was with were the first to leave, a little while later BLM and crew left. Just before they left we caught this first fish and right after they left we caught the second. That was it for the day, we stayed until 3pm but decided to call it a day for the lack of bites. We marked plenty of fish all day but most of them had closed mouths. When we got back to the marina we ran into Bearlakefishguy and got some good info on the new Rock piles and Doug Millar filming them for an upcoming show. Here are a couple of pictures we took today of the only two fish caught in our boat. Hopefully the other guys did better. WH2

Those are some awful nice macks there boys. Looks like your patience and persistence paid off well. Did you happen to get a weight on them?

Yes we did, the larger one is 13 lbs and was 35 inches, I just posted it on the "Wall of Fame". (Just for those that don't know, a 1 is a low vote and 5 is a high vote.) The smaller one was 10 lbs and was 33 inches. When I called out for any BFT members, Ira had just caught it. Did you hear me on the radio when I told you about the fish being caught?
