I went to Bryants fork and as recommended, easily launched there. Hit the water about 8:30. Perfect conditions, the Portal bay was crowded with similarly inclined tubers and boats. I had a good double digit day with a number of long line releases as well. No slot busters but a couple were close. A couple cutts under the slot as well and one nice bow (16 in). I caught them by vertical jigging, slow kick trolling, and cast and retrieve of plastics. The thing that surprised me some was that the fish were all over the water column. There were a lot on the surface, and casting to surface feeding fish scored me several hookups. (I wish that I brought the fly rod) They would also come right up to the tube as they followed the lure. There were some deep and at intermediate depths as well. In never found the "mother lode" school to jig to but when a few showed up on the finder near the bottom, I would stop and vertically jig to them and often, they would oblige in biting. As other reports indicate, white is the color. I had most of my success with a white tube jig tipped with crawler. I played around with other lures without much success. I don't know if life circumstances will let me go up there again with the tube before ice out, but I would sure like to. Tight lines.
