Fished the Berry today . Tried for bows and only boated 2 . Nailed about 20 cutts in the mix and lost about as many . Fishing seems to be slow today . Lots of boats but not a lot of action from what I heard from others . Did see some big cutts at the marina when I was leaving , so some got lucky today . Fished Maniac reapers , pointers , and a few tube jigs today .

Sounds like a good trip anyways Randy. Thanks for the report. Have you tried over on Soldier creek for bows?

Thanks , I did try to get a pic of my big bow but she was a little camera shy and jumped out of the net while reaching for the camera . Good luck tuesday . Cutts seem to be 12' to 24' down in the water today with the cloud cover .

I've been hooking a few bows from shore at Soldier Creek too .My trophy bow this year I lost at the ladders about a month ago . But I can still hope for another chance . Today I fished Indian Creek / meadows . Two a day seems to be the going rate for bows this year for me . Bows I hooked today was about 4 pounder and a little half pounder . Almost all my bows caught this year have been on Maniacs lures too . No powerbait needed . LOL

I wish I could call a 20 fish day slow. ( even if they are not the species I was targeting.) I see a lot of talk about the meadows but I don't see it on my map. Where is it? We found a few fish near the narrows but all in all a slow day. Dan

Nice report Helssangler and nice pics. I was at Reneagade and Meadows on Friday night and caught cuts on white tubes and black wholly buggers. In about 3 hours I caught over 20 fish and I thought that was great. One fish was 23" and fat. The next morning was alot slower bite. Full Moon I think had something to do with that.
By the way, the maniac lure that you used, is that a custom color, it looks yellow in the pic. What length was it and how do you put the hook in. Also, how do you fish one of those. slow or fast, shallow or deep Thanks for help

I fished the reapers with just a circle hook hooked in the head section and let it free fall to the bottom . Also with a lite jig head , and drop shot style with a with the weight attached at the end of the line and 2 hooks up above the weight . Deeper water it helps to have some weight to get to the strike zone quicker but I like the slow fall of the lures and a sharp jerk up every now and then to get the attention on bottom . I did drift for a while and hooked the cutts on them but have no idea how deep it was running . I was trying to find the 24' range because I seen fish in that zone . Chartreuse with black pepper and black 3.5" reapers is what I use sunday with a little smelly jelly rubbed on .
