Huntington?

Would like to fish Huntington this winter,have not been up there in years.Is there a parking lot?Can I get my snowmobile on the lake,or would it be more trouble than it worth?What do you guys use to catch fish?Any help appreciated

Yes, there is a parking lot and when the ice gets thick enough to support a snowmobile having one would be helpful. Fuzzyfisher uses one up there.

Randy, what I want to know is how you knew that I used "millworm" as the word to do the search? "Millworm" is exactly what I used for the search. Should I be looking for cameras or did you install this software?

I remembered millworm, because I read that thread earlier yesterday getting excited about Huntington.

Mike, you can access the reservoir with a snowmobile right from the parking lot, and several other places. Yes, you may borrow my nice new heater, only hitch is I don't let it out of my sight, so you have to take me along on your snowmobile (or I am even willing to walk if the ice is too thin). BTW -- I know where to ice fish it, so you get three blessings if I go.

If you guys are going to Huntington let me know and I'll go also if you don't mind. If it is frozen. If not I'm going to talk TKB into takeing the sleds up some lakes in the high country and ice fishing for Greyling.

We need someone to take a run up to Huntington and check the ice (if any at all) conditions. Last year I called Big Pine Sports and they said the ice was unsafe and after making the call it was reported that anglers were already fishing through safe ice. I have next Friday off and planned to hit Strawberry with MGB; however, I found out this morning that he can't make it, so I am game for Plan B.

[cool]Kent, if you head up that way, keep an eye out for fishhound and "the dogs." They'll be up that way too. I'm looking forward to your report! I think it might be the only place to icefish on Turkey Day weekend, but if that's the case, then THAT'S WHERE I'LL BE at least on one of those days that weekend!
