Can you still catch minnows this time of year out of the berry?
#1
I'm running low on chub minnows and am thinking of heading up to the berry to round up a few this weekend. i did real well back in june when it was warm, but was wondering if colder temps brough about any minnow behavior (like hanging out in deeper water where ya can't see 'em) or what. i use a casting net around the docks at the marinas and back in june you could see 'em everywhere. has anyone seen these little buggers swimming around the marinas lately? i need to stock up for the spring walleye action at the mud puddle. laters

I havn't seen any minnows in the shallows for over a month. They all have gone to deeper water. The boat docks have been taken out of the water so your only choices of netting them would be from the shore line or boat.

In prior years I have netted a few of them as late as October 20th, but like MGB reported, I have looked around the marina the last couple trips and haven't seen any.
