unbelievable fishing on the berry 11/19
#1
Unbelievable! let me just say that over the past 20 yrs i have experienced some pretty fast fishing, but nothing like last saturday on the berry. me and a buddy launched around 11:00 am and fished till the sun hit the horizon around 6:00 pm. we found a sweet spot in 30' of water, dropped anchor, and didn't have to move all day. between the 2 of us, we boated (get this) 90 sweet cuts between 18" and 21". we took "pescispursuit"s advice and tied on white tube jigs and nailed em all day long. the weather was clear and calm with mild temps. it seemed every cast either boated a fish, or got hit 5 or 6 times on the retrieve. unbelievable. i'm still in somewhat of a daze. we saw quite a few boats and tubes around and every time you had a second to look at one, they were bringing in a fish. everyone was nailen'em! what a day. i included a pic of one of 'em

Awesome day of fishing it sounds like. Where in this country could you go and catch such numbers of big cuts?

I am hoping to get up to Strawberry this week for some of that amazing fishing. What area did you find the fish in? Can I get my kick boat to where you had such great numbers of fish? Thanks for the help.

we launched at renegade boat ramp and hit that bay just to the left. verry accessable via tube or kick boat. i'm gonna try to get back up there wed if i can. i didn't have time to notice any ducks or geese in the area, to buzy lip jerkin. 70% of all fish caught were in the top 15' of water. caught lots of fish the second the tube hit the water. i hope anyone that has time to get up there do, because it is truly amazing fishing right now. peace out.
