Ice Fishing On Wed??
#1
Well, I think I finally have a free day and I got all my ice gear together. Are there any other spots besides Huntington or Fairview. I know people want to keep other places secret, but a little closer drive would be nice. Is anyone planning on going tomorrow? Is Scofield ready at all? Thanks

[cool]I'm sure there a places in the Uintas that are frozen. Question is, is it accessable?[Tongue] Seriously though, Birch Creek and Woodroof might be ready, and Scofield might be as well, but nobody has said for sure. If I remember right, in the town of Scofield there's a little gas station/convenience store. Don't know what the name of it is, but I'm sure there's a way to look it up on dexonline.com or something like that. I'd call them. I'm sure they'd know if the lake has an icecap on it or not!

[cool]Thanks for the info, Ron. A few years ago (maybe 4 or 5?) a friend of mine was heading up there ice fishing with a friend of his and the friend forgot his ice rod/reel, so they went into the town of Scofield and there was some little convenience store that even sold equipment in it for Scofield. I thought that there was only one store like that in the whole town as I've passed through there a few times in summer heading back to the family property in Fairview Canyon, but maybe theres two? Or, maybe that little store used to be open in winter but isn't anymore?[crazy] Anyway, it's good to know that it ain't open any longer in the winter, so if you forget your gear you're screwed, or better realize it before you are outta Spanish Fork at least, or you're S.O.L.[Wink]
