UL ice
#1
Just bought my first auger (hand powered) and had a few minutes to run down to Utah Lake by Lindon. I walked out and punched a few holes. I didn't fish-- just wanted to check it out and see how the auger preformed. The ice isn't very clear and crackled quite a bit when I walked around on it. It went from 4-5 inches thick on the main lake. If anyone heads out there walk carefull, it's slicker than snot[Wink]

My son and two of his friends just got back from a trip down to the pumps. They fished for about an hour and a half with sonars and didn't catch anything. Couple of other guys fishing said that they had been there for about four hours with no fish and just a couple of hits. We may try it in the morning if I can get a few chores taken care of tonight.
