scofield
#1
my buddy and myself hit scofield today. what a beautiful day.
it was -8 when we got there at seven am.
fished the south end in 20 foot of water, ice was 6 to 8 inches thick with about 2 inches of snow on it.
my buddy iced 4 keeping 2 that went 19 to 20 inches
what's that smell, oh yeah i got skunked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he caught them on white tube jig tipped with meal worm.
i tried everything in my box but to no avail. nada
the only thing i caught was a very big pastrami burger that my buddy cooked up for us.
there is always next time. you still have to love being in the crystal clear air on a sunny day on the hard deck.

Thanks for the report. Scofield sure has been a dud this year. I don't think I've read a good report from there yet. Usually the board is full of awesome Scofield reports by now. Very weird year there.

I was just going to say the same thing about the catching being slow but the ones that are being caught are nice ones at least.
Thanks for the report ironworker. WH2

[cool][#0000ff]Heartfelt sympathies on the poor fishing. Been there, done that.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The burgers look great. I hope they were legal size. Gotta be careful about pinching the tail to get the right measurement. Oh, wait, that's a different thing. Sorry.[/#0000ff]
