[#ff0000]Went to Strawberry on Friday with Natalie. Got to the Marina at 7:00 am and ran into Skippythelurker and MGB, went out from the gas pumps and immediately started seeing fish on the sonar and getting bites. After 5 minutes, the sonar battery I bought last year from Sportsmans went out on me, and so did the fishing. I have learned that the little fishing skills I have are useless without a fish finder. We fished blind for a couple of hours, with natalie only catching one fish. Luckily we met back up with MGB and Skippy and he graciously let me borrow one of his fish finder batteries. But by that time the bite was off. Needless to say, I got skunked at the Berry, Natalie had 2 all day.
Saturday
OEJ Natalie and myself went to Rockport, found 40 feet of water and just like the previous Tuesday we got into the perch right off the bat, couldnt keep them off our lines. The sonar was full of fish. but as soon as the direct sunlight came up, we didnt see fish on the screen anymore, and of course no more on our hooks. Moved a couple of times with no luck, just a couple of slimers. Good time though, between the 3 of us, we got 30 perch in 30 minutes
