sjgabby and I hit Strawberry on the Soldier Creek side. There is a lot of open water out from the boat ramp. We dropped off in the bay behind the marina. The ice was about 12" thick. The fishing was slow, but steady most of the day. We iced about 20 each. The biggest was 20". One 13" Rainbow. Most of the fish were between 17" and 19". The snow came in for the last half of the day, but it never got real cold.

Thanks for the report .So I take it they are plowing the road into the marina or did you just plowed your way thru to get there ? It has been about 12 years since I fished over there but did good in 54' of water . Fish seam to go deeper over there but it sounds like it might be open water where I fished by your report .

I wouldn't say the road was plowed, but a number of people took trucks down to the parking lot for the marina. The road was somewhat packed and rutted, but driveable.
