Strawberry 4 wheelers

Has anyone taken a 4 wheeler across the bay by Strawberry bay marina? I would like to be able to drive down towards Renegade. We were on the Soldier Creek side on Monday and found open water. I was wondering if the ice was safe on this side for 4 wheelers.

I talked to a guy the other day (Monday) who took his machine across the bay. He said that by a pressure ridge (I assume near Haws Point), he broke through a little. He said it was a little scary. He said he had no other problems. Good luck when you go.

I hear alot of people have problems over by haws point ive heard several diffrent stories some say theres a spring there im not sure

Actually theres a couple springs on the south side of Strawberry bay near haws and a few along the west side of Rainbow bay near Big Hole.

I guy near the ladders got his four wheeler stuck in the ice when he was leaving. He got right at the edge of the ice and broke through. They had to pull his four wheeler out with a truck. So be careful around the edges.
