Slow most of the day, until about 3pm...then caught and missed probably 30 fish. White and Chartreuse jigs with waxies. 20 to 30 ft. of water.

I fished the marina this afternoon from 2-5:30 with dad and 3 kids. Forgot the tent at home and too windy to keep the heater lit so spent more time keeping kids warm than fishing. Fished 23 feet deep and we landed about 12 fish and all were slotters. Both white and chartruse jigs worked and didn't matter if it was tipped with minnow/mealy/or waxey. Sometimes they were very agressive and other times they would show up on the finder screen and follow my jig up and down and then leave..... Ice was 8-10 thick with about 3-6 inches of snow on top. No slush. Saw wheelers out without any probs. Note to self.....bring the dang tent next time!!!!
