I am CONSIDERING fishing Bear Lake tomorrow and I have an empty seat in my little boat if one of you BFTers out there would like to join me. If you have never fished with me before then this invite is to you.
I’ve got a TON of things I should be doing tomorrow instead of fishing but the weather is supposed to be half decent and I ain’t stuck my trophy mack yet this year. It’s been way slow for me.
So, if you would like to target lake trout tomorrow (early!) and have never fished with me before, send me a PM and we’ll hook up. If no one replies, well, I’ll just have to get my honey doos done tomorrow instead of fishing.
If more than one of you PM me, I’ll just toss a coin to see who goes.

How did you know I was thinking about heading the Bear tomorrow? I’ve been tossing the idea around all day. After watching the weather report and see that it may snow up there I think I’ll it the ice at East Canyon.
Anyone looking at wanting to catch some nice fish take Ralph up on this offer. Ever time I’m in the same boat as Ralph I hook up with 30 inch fish.

Well, I guess that since I have got no replies and Mark Snobank says that the Bear Lake valley gets hammered with precip tomorrow, I’ve decided to stay home and get caught up on honey doos.

Looking at the weather for this side of the hill (Bear Lake Valley) tomorrow is supposed to be cloudy until the afternoon when scattered snow showers are supposed to show up. Sounds like a fine day to me. Wind is supposed to be very light.
I would have PM'd ya Old Coot but have already made plans to hit the ice elsewhere.
Now watch the blizzard blow in early ... *S*

Ralph, its a good thing that we didn't hit the bear today. I ended up at Causey today and it snowed all day. I don't know if the bear lake valley would have been any better but I doubt it. Maybe if the weather stays nice after the first of the year I will have to take you up on the offer to bear lake. I only have 1 laker for my record, and I definatly want to fix that.

Hey coot this is what the national weather service issued for the bear lake area:
...HEAVY SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 12 PM MST SUNDAY...
A HEAVY SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 12 PM MST SUNDAY.
SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE EASTERN HIGHLANDS LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND BECOME HEAVY TONIGHT. HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING MAINLY AT ELEVATIONS ABOVE 6000 FEET. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS UP TO 20 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE AT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS. THE VALLEYS WILL BE WARMER... AND SNOW MAY MIX WITH RAIN. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE STILL EXPECTED TO REACH 6 TO 10 INCHES. SNOW SHOULD TAPER OFF TO SHOW SHOWERS BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
It might get pretty ugly around here for the next few days.
