[cool][#0000ff]There was a good six inches of ice on the lake side of the pumps two weeks ago, but the warm weather has just about trashed the ice on all of Utah Lake. I would not trust it. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I checked Lindon a few days ago and the ice was thin and rotten. I just got back from a driveby at Lincoln Beach, and there are open leads and ice piled up along the shoreline. I will post some pics on a post later. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Unless we get another super cold snap, during a calm period, there will be little fishable ice at Utah Lake.[/#0000ff]

[Sad]three days fishing at the pumps 5:00am to 2:00pm good ice no fish. I used fish finders, aqua-vu,and drilled about 30 holes all over in there it sucked. Every one that showed up took off after ten min.

[cool][#0000ff]I think the white bass really are thinned out this year. Normally that is a great early area (late too) for lots of whites and a few stray walleyes.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Bassrods and I hit that spot during the cold snap and we also had both sonar and Aqua Vu. Same results. A couple of "swim bys" and no fish on the ice. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The water is up again this year (even more) and I suspect that in addition to the reduced population of fish there is just more habitat for them to hang out in. There are probably some spots that would be dynamite, but none of us has found them yet. They sure have not been as plentiful at Lincoln Beach and some of the other historical spots.[/#0000ff]
