I'd imagine there is going to be several inches of new snow up there. I'm going up tommorow but I'm just going to park at the marina and walk out from there a little ways. If any of you see a loner with BFT stickers on his sled and bucket stop and say howdy.

Sorry Flycasting, I don't know any secret spots. I'm just hoping a few fish swim under my spot[Wink]

[black]I know no secret spots. IFG, on the other hand, has plenty of them. I just follow his sled. When you are on foot it makes it tough. I'd head for Chicken Creek and walk out as far as you can. You can, at least, get away from everyone but the wheelers and sleders. Good luck and tell us how it goes.[/black]

I'd give you the GPS but I fished this before I had one. CC west, walk out to you hit the point (about 3/4 of a mile). Center yourself between both shores. It should be about 34', it used to be 22' but the lakes up since then. There is a big ledge about there, use a white tube tipped with meat. Under that hang a small (#16) shrimp-bo in pink tipped with shrimp or crawdad. Leave it sit still, all your hits will be on the shrimp-bo. The tube is just for weight and as an attractor. You can use a kastmaster as well. The fish in there are feeding on zooplankton. Trust me.

When conditions are slushy or deep with powder, I go to the Marina. Short walks to deep water is a good thing. Last week, I was maybe 100 yards from the the store and I was spanking them. Work 20 to 40 foot depths(most people fish to shallow). Get away from crowds and stay away from the bank, the banks have been hammered since on.

I'll be up there about 8am, saturday.
