Fishlake or lakes down south.

Does anyone have a report about Fishlake or other lakes around Richfield?

hey chris..
fishlake has some ice on it.. i'm not sure if the whole lake has frozen yet or not.. but 2 weeks ago there was safe ice on the south end to fish.. and it's hard not to catch fish at fishlake..

redmond is allways fun this time of year if you want to try your luck on some pike or bass..

koosheram res.. is frozen and my buddy that lives down there said that he has been doing real good for some nice cut's and bow's..

mill meadow has ice and some good perch bow's and brown's going no there..

lots of places to try down that way..

Does anyone catch anything at Forsyth or did it draw down to a puddle again?

I went down to Mill medow over the weekend. IT WAS SLOW. There are some nice sized perch and a few bows but it wasn't worth the drive. []

I'm also curious about Fish Lake. I would think it's capped by now, but who knows. I'm thinking about heading down this Saturday. If anyone goes before then, a report would be greatly appreciated. If not, I'll post one when I get back (if I go).

Fishlake was still only 1/4 frozen on Monday the 2nd. Fishing was slow and the weather was the pits. Typical Fishlake wind and horizontal snow. Fishing wasn't as good as last week. Caught some nice splake though. Ice is 8-10 thick where we fished and there was a crowd due to the size of the ice cap.

I think that's being a bit generous. Heck, you can't even get out on the ice in front of Lakeside Marina. The Bathrooms is the only fishable spot of ice...

It's been way, way, way to warm and windy. The holes aren't even re-freezing over night....


If you really want to get to the fish, take your boat and launch it down by Joe Bush. Jigging from a boat could be very interesting...
