I am thinking about heading out next weekend. I have never been there. What can anyone post about this so-called fun spot?

Scary man...really scary. I don't know if the roads are gonna be snowed in, but as of now I am planning a trip sun. Your welcome to come. I may have a full car but if not Your welcome to ride along.

I've been out there several times and it seems that there is not nearly the amount of snow that we get on the valley. If there is any room on Sunday, send me a PM. I'll throw in on gas.
P.S. A float or toon is a must, can be fished from shore but difficult, very clear water and soggy shore. [signature]

Which Blue Lake? (There are at least 15 in Utah--3 in Sanpete County alone!)

I've been out there an aweful lot over my life time... Mostly durring the winter, too. You shouldn't have to worry about the roads. We've always got in, despite the weather conditions.
The fishing should be pretty darn good right now. Bass and big blues in the main lake, and tons of little gills in the smaller ponds to the west. There are some very big bass in that little place. I've seen them up to around 9-10#'s, and caught them up to 8. Them fish love a nice dead minnow. I haven't had much success with artificials. They get kinda skittish for stuff that their not used to. Smaller fish, sure. No probs. But minnows are a MUST for big fish. The fish are very skittish. If they see you, your pretty well done for. The little creek can also be a very good place to try for some decent bass. Just put the bait right up under the undercut banks. Some big fish there, too. As long as you have a good set of chest waders you don't need a pontoon or float tube to fish it. In fact I've only fished it in a tube once, and I didn't do near as well as from shore. You'll be wading in 4-6" of marsh for sure. And there are some holes that go up to the waist(not fun in knee-high boots). Good luck. It's been a while since I've been there. I miss that place for sure. It's without a doubt my favorite place to wet a hook in all of Utah.

This is the Blue Lake that scuba divers love, right?
