Hit the ice at Echo yesterday.Had our lines in the water by 0830.Fished the west side about 300 yards south of the dam.Fish finder was goin nuts all day but they just weren't biting.Tried waxies/mealies/crawlers/eggs...you name it.Ended up landing two bows and no perch after 5 hours of fishin.Headed off the ice and put the waders on to try the Weber near Croydon.Floated crawlers behind some rocks in the deeper pockets.Landed 5 browns and one cutt.Browns were all 12-13 inches with one that went a solid 18 all released unharmed.River looks nice right now but once they start releasing water off the bottom of Echo it will turn muddy.Great day fishin....got a killer tan along with some nice fish.
