Brethren,
I have taken a solemn vow to rid Utah Lake of my share of the carp and pass it on to my children as a new, clean, carp-free lake. I know it will take thousands of hours, but with my trusty bow and new Muzzy arrows, it will get done.
Now I just need to know where the carp are at. Any help?

Not sure about that side of the lake, I like to go out on the west side but I'll bet you could find good access by Geneva somewhere

Its apparent you dont know me,, LMAO! I probably cut bait 100-150+lbs of them into Cat chow yearly.. April is my favorite time to stock up.. I taken them close to home, for the most part, and access them from a boat along the north shores between AF and Lindon boat harbors.

When the carp are spawning in late April or May they are not difficult to find. Find essentially any shoreline, creek or other shallow water at Utah Lake and you will find hundreds of carp.

Close to Provo the best place to get them during spawn time or any other time probably is Mud Lake. Also known as Provo Bay. You can access it from a dirt road that goes out on the dikes around the provo airport(accessed just east of the center street bridge of the provo river, just outside the state park) or from the Spanish fork side as well. The water is fairly shallow, allowing wading in many areas, and the carp are thick thick thick in there!!! I've gone in a canoe netting them and slitting their bellies when I was a kid.

[#0000ff]As was suggested, it is tough to find a place where there are NO carp. But, close to Provo is as good as anyplace, from the mouth of the river, both north and south. Lots of 'em around Lindon, inside and outside too. Last year you could net them with a landing net while fishing from a float tube all around inside the harbor.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]It will be interesting to see how the action is this year, with the higher water. The water level is already higher than it ever got last year. The edge of the lake is ringed with high reeds and brush now. Carp love that stuff. They really get in there and wallow around. But, it is tough to hunt them in that stuff and you can lose arrows unless you use a line and spool.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The best carp-sticking, without having to use fish arrows and line, is in flooded fields near the lake. There should be quite a few of those around the south end again this year. Had some good shootin' from late April clear into July last year.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]When the carp gang up in the fields they are side by side. I once stuck 5 fish on one arrow...one shot...and then released them unharmed.[/#0000ff]

BENJAMIN SLUGH. GET OF THE SPRINGVILLE EX BY THE TRUCK STOP. GO WEST HIT DIRT ROAD FOLLOW IT HALF MILE OR SO AND WALK THE CANAL TO INLET. ITS A WELL FLOODED AIREA WITH TONS OF CARP.

That is actually directions to Provo Bay (Mud Lake) that you gave.
And it is a great place to go with Public access.
Benjamin slough is farther south/southwest out past Spanish Fork and nearing Lincoln Beach.

That would be illegal but not a bad idea.
I plan to stick some carp myself. I also plan to eat a few. Last year I experimented with canning it and my kids eat it just fine. I still have to get over my thought that it is carp but they don't know you are supposed to hate it. Besides lots of fish sticks are made of carp so eat up.
