Took my son on a full days fishing trip last friday and we stopped by Stansbury Park ... I caught nothing but some moss. My son, the phenom ... picked out his own crankbait and caught this nice largemouth.
He's certainly a chip off the old block baby!

your a good teacher cliffie. I reconize the spot you are at, are the bass spawning in there now ?? I caught one in there a few years ago that was about 3 lbs. later chuck

I think the spawn is over ... I did see some beds that were empty. The main lake is still too cold.

I can't wait for my little guy to catch his first fish...it won't be any time soon since he is only 7 months. Actually he is the reason I haven't been out on the water as much lately. He can say Da Da (Dad) and Ma Ma (Mom) and I swear he said FISHY the other day too. I had him packed up and ready to go to the pond this past saturday but the wind nixed that plan. I got to go though and it was a much needed shot in the arm. And as for the fishing genes, I hope he gets some from mom because every time she goes she out fishes me. []
