PBH cats, weather not a factor....finally!
#1
I took my daughter to to Provo today to fish for catfish. When we first got there the weather was windy and rain. A good time to throw out the poles and play some Tic-Tac-Toe in the truck. We were on the North side fishing inside the harbor. I was able to call my mom and she watched us on the Lake View cam from Virginia, that was pretty neat. We ended up catching 5 channels, kept two for dinner. Deep fried portabella and catfish nuggets, how could you go wrong?

Wow! Your daughter has a arm load. Nice picture. I caught my first cat fish last year on the Ohio in Kentucky. I also caught my first chigger or 20. [Sad] Nice not to have to deal with Chiggers in Utah[Smile]

My friends live across the river from Louisville in Elizabeth, Indiana. They kept one of my Harley's out there for the past 3 years. We ride and fish. Last trip from Louisville to Ashville N.C. when Hurricane Katrina hit. gas was almost $4 per gallon. Pretty country

[cool]Hey, congrats on a nice day out with your daughter. Unfortunately, it was slow fishin' today at the two spots CBR and I went out to. We first fished at the pumphouse, and I got one little bullhead (aka mudcat) on my bait rig, but that was it for the whole day. Craig did even worse. I think that's the first time that I've been fishin' that I beat him. We later went over to American Fork Boat Harbor, and it was slow goings. Tried jigs, tried for crappies by the docks, then soaked bait for a long time and nothing. There were some regulars there that had a few mudcats on a stringer, but that was it. Never saw one person catch a fish all day... Oh well, the fishing will improve soon. Oh yeah, Craig was ahead of me when we hiked into the Harbor by the creek, and he spooked hundreds of minnows. Turns out THEY WERE WALLEYE MINNOWS, so yes, the spawn is well underway, if not about over now.
