I have fish S.h several time to the tune of 15 times or more. I have won and placed in several tourneys there. The way to go from a tube would be to go to the south end at the dunes, around the third picnic table and go straight out and find the point and fish from 2-30 feet. I would not wait 1-2 months, I would go as soon as the weather changes. You will catch between 50-80 bass in the 2-3 lb. range. use brown or green spider grubs Carolina riged with 3/8 ounce bullet weight. i have caught fish over five out of there and it is only going on 4 years that they made S.H.

Never caught a largemouth? What have you been fishing for, Trout?....If you only knew, soon you will come to the darkside and spent ungodly amounts of money trying to outsmart the fish before somone else does, oh yes...come to the darkside....

i tube sand hollow nearly every weekend from april thru october. the best place i have found is around the back on the dirt road. take it till it ends, go out by the outhouse and go straight out from there. i usually am over abut 6 to 10 feet of water casting into shore with a senko either wacky or texas rigged. there are some 5lbers over there and a lot of 1 to 3lbers. dont wait too long though. early april it's on!!!!

That may be a spot I'll try 2nd week of April!! Can you camp there? Is it still "primative" or has it been upgraded? Would the St. "Gouge" tackle places be able to help me get some lures, etc.?

I'm going to take my flyrod when I go, but as stated above I have never fished there so I don't know what flies would work.

Quail can be red hot this time of year, especially when they are on beds. ( a few weeks away). You will catch better quality but not the quanity. good luck
