I know the fealing all to well,

I live less than a hundred yards from a boat launch on my street. My family used it for seventy years. we built it and maintained it. now people who dont even live in my subdivision has stolen it from us and I am no longer allowed to use it. I have to put up with boat trafic from another subdivision. boats bigger than my house coming down my road blocking me from getting in and out of my home.

to bad we have political seats for sale in this country. Its ruining this country. the poor are devistated and now the midle class is under the gun.

Is Bantam lake still public, and access is impossible, or has the lake itelf become privitized as well?

Maybe it would be good to befriend one of the new out-of-staters who has built up around the lake. Maybe they'll scratch your back...if your a friend.

As of now you can't use the launch, but it may change. Thats why you have to call the dep for the up to date info. We have well over 100 lakes to choose from, so I feel no need to make friends with someone who doesn't feel our tax dollars that made that Lake a success, not willing to open it up to the public. This is the second lake to shut down. We as fisherman need to contact our reps and let them know how we feel about this. I allready did.

Nothing is carved in stone yet, Joe. We'll have to see what the state can talk the town into or build it's own ramp. I say build the ramp on state land.
