Lindon and Deer Creek
#1
Started at lindon this morning, I met Bassackwards and his nifty toon. Bassackwards led the convoy to the open water. After about 1/2 hour at the bubble up I hooked a decent channel on a minnow. Threw a grub also but no takers. I did see a huge channel get taken from the end of the pipe, probably 10-12 lbs. (of course as I was leaving, making me second guess my decision).
I fished the shoreline far north of Lindon-nuthin', AF boat harbor-nuthin', in between the two-nuthin' Deer creek bound.
Deer creek was much more friendly, the crystal clear water and warm sunshine not to mention the FAT rainbows. Wow! It's been a while since I caught so many fish. Lucky Craft Live Pointers seemed to be the hot ticket- perch and ghost pattern. We did better casting than trolling and started catching fish on the 5th cast.
I didn't get any walleye but it was by far the best day of the year to fish so far....Untill my motor quit, I had to use my bow mount to travel for a good 45 minutes. Anybody know a good mechanic?

[cool][#0000ff]Nice. What part of DC was most productive? And, did you get a water temp?[/#0000ff]

Damn who told ya about the Lucky Craft? Glad you had some luck. There is another pattern that works well also.

I headed straight north from the State park, the South one I guess you would call it, and fished the heber creeper side. Water temp was 44-45 in most places.

Looks like I should of got out today . Nice catch . It looks like the "W" wasn't a problem today but I had chores on my boat and trailer wiring to fix . Never fished Deer Creek from a boat yet . Are there any docks out to help on launching ?

Yes there are docks. This was my first time from my own boat.
