Jordanelle help!
#1
My brother and I are out this Thursday for spring break, so we want to go and fish Jordanelle. Any advice on how or where to fish it from the shore and a pontoon boat? I'd kind of like to get some decent browns. I've fished there once a while ago and caught 1 rainbow from the boat ramp by the freeway. Is that a good area?Any info that you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

[cool][#0000ff]Browns are always elusive, but right after ice out they are probably scattered. Lots of rainbows, all over the lake, from shallow to deep. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I always launch my tube from the PWC ramp at Hailstone, but it can be good fishing in the coves to the west of the main ramp too. The perch and trout were good in that area while the ice was still on the lake. Haven't had many reports since the ice blew off.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If there is a south wind, the main launch area is best because it is somewhat protected. Do you have sonar? Might help to locate the areas the fish are hanging out.[/#0000ff]

When ever you are ready TD. I played hooky from work today because of the weather. I hate getting rained on while working. It's OK if I'm fishing now. Then came home found a message from work and had to go work anyhow. Only I got to do it at home with the computer. That is truly a nice change of pace.

[cool][#0000ff]Wanna hunt some easter fish? I'm getting old enough that they let me hide my own Easter eggs...and I still can't remember where I put them. Might as well go fishing.[/#0000ff]

Very carefully my old friend, very caefully. If you leave them in the dye to long they go all mushy like carp meat!
