Price River closed at Scofield?
#1
Hello!

Last summer I fished a lot along the Price River as it leaves Scofield Reservoir.

Someone told me that the river is closed in the spring. I looked up on the proc, and saw that all tributaries of Scofield Reservoir are closed from January to July. Does the Price River count as a tributary since it is LEAVING the reservoir, not ENTERING it?

From my research, it seemed that the Price River leaving Scofield is open all year round with regular limits. Is that true, or is it closed for parts of the year?

Thanks guys!

Nate

P.S. Has anyone gotten into any smallies from X yet this year? Thanks.

Tribs that enter Scofield close to protect spawning cutts including Upper Fish creek. Lower Fish Creek, or Price River is the outlet of Scofield and does not close, however, there are artificial and special regs for most of the river between Scofield dam and the White river.
