New Zeland?
#1
I have a problem that maybe someone can help on. I'm committed to going on a Elder Hostile tour in New Zealand for our 50th, yea that's right, 50th wedding anniversary and it's a bunch of Wify/Scenery/stuff which is great, very pricey though, but I would really like to sneak away for a day or two to do something more up my line. Will probably be leaving in late Oct. Could anyone suggest a one time shot at some decent trout fishing if I can sneak away from the tour??? As I understand it, so far we are going to be there 3 weeks covering both Islands, and, well could someone bail me out so I can sneak away?[unsure] Man, I don't know if I'm ever going to recover financially, but I guess it's worth it.[unimpressed] I guess, short of giving my itinerary, any suggestions could be compared to our routes?

My old boss spent some time in NZ while doing his training, I'll drop you a PM with his email, and maybe he can be of help.

[cool][#0000ff]There are a lot of good sites on the Internet. Here are a few links:[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]From everything I have heard, it is very different fishing in New Zealand. It is not like Utah, where you just pick up a rod and go fishing. In many places you must have membership or expensive permits. Often you cannot fish without having a guide.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Many of the websites on fishing in New Zealand are commercial guide services, lodges, etc. but you can click on a lot of the buttons for pictures, maps and good background information.[/#0000ff]
