Every year the Provo Parks and Recreation organize a 'Corporate Games' for Utah Valley businesses to participate in to raise money for youth programs in Provo. The games include a category for fishing, which is held this year on May 6 at Scofield Reservoir. My company always participates, and I've wanted to for the last 2 years but haven't had the time.
This year, I'm in!!!! I'm excited for it! Gonna go with a coworker and use my tube and primarily flyfish with a spinning rod for backup.
My question is, Will the ice be off of Scofield by then? When does it typically come off most years? I hope so cause I ain't going out on rotting ice to catch anything!!!
What area(s) should I concentrate on if I'm going from a tube? Where should I launch and fish? What should I use?
The current plan on flyfishing with black or olive wooly buggers and leech patterns, and if that doesn't work, to use jigs and/or spinners tipped with a piece of worm.
