New Lures/Favorite Lures
#1
Has anybody seen or used the new lure that Cabela's have called Lucky Lure?. It looks like a Rapala but the tail section is in separate pieces with a cable going through so the tail has a side to side movement that the Rapala lures don't have. Now when you see these lucky lures you will know them because they want almost twenty dollars for one. But they claim they are the best one out on the market.

Now for my favorite lures, the good old Jake Spinner lure is one that seems to work in most lakes. Also, the Rapalas, red and white and Frog daredevils, kastmasters, and one of my favorites, instead of trolling large pop-gear and worm, I like to use the wedding ring.

It sounds like they are trying to imitate the Lucky Craft Live Pointer. It better be good for that much $. I like the pointers in the spring so I may have to check these out, are they at the store in Lehi or in the catalog?

[cool][#0000ff]I think you mean the Lucky Craft jointed lure. They are listed on Cabelas online site, but I could not find just a LUCKY lure.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I neglected to add that these lures are already proven to be great trout catchers. Some BFTers did very well on the Strawberry fish last year and others have used them to good effect on Deer Creek for larger fish.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The price alone is enough to keep them out of a lot of tackle boxes. And, if you ever snag one you are likely to dive in to retrieve it. Not only are they pricey but they DO catch fish. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I have not yet tried them, but the one negative I have heard is that the action is a bit stiff on new lures, right out of the package. It seems to take a lot of casts and retrieves (or trolling) to get the lures to loosen up and perform best.[/#0000ff]

[cool][#0000ff]While wandering around through some of the other boards on BFT (my job), I found a post from a lure company that has some interesting new ideas and designs. [/#0000ff]
