casting net link
#1
About 4 weeks ago someone posted a link to a web site that had an excellent video on throwing a casting net. I have found a place to catch minnows. I have purchased a casting net. I cannot find the link. Can someone help?
thanks

All I can say is don't take more than you can use in a short period. My old minnow spot isn't so hot anymore because of nets.

I am interested in trapping some minnows for baits. Last time I bought a bag at Sportsman, which costed $2.60 and only had about 15 pieces. By the way, I haven't caught any fish on minnows yet.

The irrigation canals that feed off of the Bear River in Tremonton and Deweyville are at their low water levels at this time of the year (for about 2 more weeks.) Every 1/2 mile stretch of these canals is leveled by use of a small cement dam. On the downstream side of the dam is a pool of water that never dries up and contains loads of carp, mudcats, and minnows. Leave me a few.

That's a good idea. I imagine that same pattern would work anywhere there are irrigation canals. We have a big one running about a block from my house in Orem. I'll have to go check it out.
