Waxworms -Unlikely place to find em
#1
If anyone is interested, i know where to find waxworms year round. Good ones too. Petsmart in Riverdale has them for frog food. They are $3.99 for 3 dozen and they are huge and juicy.
Just don't buy too many cause the froggies will starve to death. LOL

[cool][#0000ff]That's the inside secret of a lot of ice fishermen. Most of the larger pet stores carry both waxworms and mealworms, all year. I discovered it by accident when I tried to buy some waxworms at Sportsmans and they told me that they were sold out because someone from Petco bought them out because THEY were out. I have found them in several pet outlets since, and they are usually good quality and a decent price. PetSmart does seem to have better prices.[/#0000ff]

Don't get too enthusiastic! I've been in there twice in the last few months and they didn't have any!!!! Seems to be hit and miss.
By the way, any source for maggots besides home raised?
