Blade lures

They sell the blade lures under the name of "Sonar" at Sportsman's. I saw a couple guys aggressivley jigging with them, for white bass, at the Provo Boat Harbor, and in talking to them they said that they snagged 90% of the white bass that they caught. With a hefty treble hooks on each end (two total), I could see why they would be effective at snagging white bass (or cisco at Bear Lake). They come in some colors that look like they would be promising. If one was to remove the two treble hooks and put a couple single hooks on there, would it be best to add a piece of cisco to each hook?
