late utah lake report 4/25

Made my second trip to the bubble-up this year on Tue evening .... a little rough out there! Took a coworker out for his attempt at a first ever walleye for him. Got on the water at about 6:30 PM and was the only boat out there. 45 minutes later, my buddy had a pickup and attempted to set the hook right away. Oops! I forgot to tell him to let it run with it! My bad! After missing the fish, I suggested to just leave it sit for a minute before checking his minnow. Lo and behold, off it went again. This time he set the hook and boated his first ever walleye... 24 inches. Talk about a happy fellow. I managed just one mud cat but the whole trip was worth it! Another fisherman "hooked" on walleyes [cool]! The pic is a little small - all I had was my cell phone camera lol!

[cool]Nice report, sk8heaven! It's nice to hear of at least somebody finally getting a decent sized 'eye out of there this Spring. That's a nice looking 'eye! Tell your friend congrats!
