#1
i fished glassmans again today.... i showd just before dark ( u can actually fish off the bank when it starts to get dark) luckily almost everyone had gone home.... used meat... and picked off a few of last years stocked cats... one was a gorgous 28 inch channel.. if she woulda been a fattie she woulda weighed 10lbs solid.. but she was a good 7lber kinda skinny... and a few minutes later i caught a solid 5lber.... not gonna sho pics of the other 5 i caught ( last weeks plant) they were all smaller.....

Nice pics!
I'm itching for some kitty hunting! What bait works best for those Channels? What lb. test do you use?
Thinking of making the trip down to Utah Lake here in a few weeks.

well.. in this pond.. i use 8lb test for the cats but if im fishing like out at tha honey hole in the bird refuge i usually use 17lb flourocarbon.... and carp meat with no weight is by far my favorite setup..... if u can pull it off.. just a no.2 gamakatsu octo hook and a slab o carp.. or sucker works well too... and chubs....

Glassman's is open from 7:00am to 10:00pm. This time of year you will have over an hour before it's dark.
Did you see a sign that said the pond closes at dark? If so the sign is wrong. Look in the Community Fishing booklet from the DWR for fishing hours.
