I have found expecially on Bear Lake that weather usually doesn't matter but the change in weather does. I have been fishing and doing good with a high pressure and had a low pressure move in the fish immediatly got lock jaw. Went out the next day with the low still in place and the fishing was good. This has also been the case with just the opposite happening. I think that different bodies of water act differently also ( natural lake versus resevoir). I could be wrong but this is just my observations.

Weather is EVERYTHING in fishing!!! It creates conditions when fish feed and don't feed, affects the food they eat, affects their body temperature, affects their whole world, and affects how an angler can approach fishing. Fish live in natural shelters, created and exposed to the elements. Each fish and water is affected differently. One thing however: WIND SUCKS for all the fishing I've ever done in my life (about 5-6 thousand days worth, so far) It makes the lakes too rough, makes sight fishing impossible, muddies shallow waters, blows the bugs off the river, and blows your boat back up-river! Not to mention casting is a bitch.

Wind is a total design flaw in my opinion, and whoever invented it screwed up big time. It's good for nothing. And if you're a sail-boat person or fly kites, well, get a life! [Wink]
