Jordan Suckers 5/08

Went down to the Jordan river tonight with my mom, brother, and his girlfriend. The suckers were finally in and biting like crazy!!! I got 5, my mom 3, my brother 3, and his girlfriend 4. All in around an hour in a half or so. They all bit on white bread fished right on the bottom. Great fishing, considering just earlier today it was raining. Water was warmer than it's been all year.

Where abouts along the Jordan? I live at about 10000 S. but have never fished it.

I was down around 27th south. I'd suspect that every creek or canal, or probably even slack spot on the river would have spawning fish in it, though.

[cool]Nice report Ringo_George. Did anybody in your group catch any gamefish, or were you not trying for them? I'd think you could probably get a cat or walleye about now...

I poped some micro tubes and curl tails hoping to get into a walleye or whitie, but no such luck. I know if we'd tried worms on the bottom atleast the mud cats would have bit. Same for channels with a big chunk of fresh caught sucker.
