Cooking Catfish
#1
[cool][#0000ff]In this morning's Salt Lake Tribune is the first of a two part series on Utah catfish. Kathy Stephenson, cooking editor, has put together an article on cooking catfish, and Brett Prettyman will have an article on catching them in Thursday's paper.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Al, a seasoned 23 year photo veteran with the paper, covered last Wednesday's group floatilla when we caught and cooked the cats for the articles. He has a separate photo gallery available too.[/#0000ff]

[cool][#0000ff]Not sure which pics will be in the paper yet. The cooking article actually comes out TOMORROW...and the fishing part comes out Thursday. The gallery was from the complete series Al shot.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I am supposed to be getting a disc of the original large file pics. I will send them to whoever is in them, once I can identify them. Or, maybe I will just do a separate thread or post on the board with all of them attached.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]We will definitely be doing more floatillas during the next few months. And, we don't just have to hit Utah Lake. Used to do nighttime catfish floatillas on Willard, before the wipers were in there. I'm betting we could score some wipers along with kitties and wallies. Got quite a few crappies at night too.[/#0000ff]

I look forward to reading the article. I have cooked a lot of different types of fish. All types of fish I have cooked (except catfish) have been really good. I about gagged on the last catfish I cooked up.

Maybe the article will convince me to try it again.

[#0000ff]By the way, CP is the one wearing the hat. The catfish is the good looking one.[/#0000ff]

[#505000]For some reason that picture makes me look a little fat and ugly.... doesn't quite show off my stunning good looks. The only thing I think that picture will do is tease someone into cancelling their subscription!!!! [Tongue][/#505000]

CP, that is a damb fine picture! Wish it was me holding that kitty. If anyone finds out i didn't catch anything, they will assume i am a vegetarian! LOL. Vegetarian is the indian word for "lousy hunter". LOL. It could also accompany a skunked fisherman. Next time i will make my comeback.
