Sand Hollow - dissappointed

I'm going to try once more. I asked before, but just want to make sure. I really wanted to try it but I just don't go fishing without Sparky, my hyper golden, since his my best bud. [] Since I was informed that Sand Hollow was a state park, with a leash law, I had written it off. I really wanted to fish Sand Hollow but I know no way to keep him on a 6ft. leash while tubing and I'm not about to pen him up while I go have fun. I do not, repeat, do not, want to impose on folks or break the law, so??????? Is there any area on the pond that is not State Park or allows this? Probably not, huh? []

I was down at sand a couple of weeks ago and it looks like the entire shore is within the state park. There is a fence around the entire lake I believe with an entrance fee.

the entire lake and its shoreline are within the state park and as you enter there is a big sign that states all dogs must be leashed and controlled at all times. ive been fishing there and had some guys dog come over and eat my scented senkos out of my takle bag while i was wading in the water so not EVEYONE choses to follow the law but i do know if the rangers see your dog running free they will approach you.

The rest of ya - thanks for the help. Would you beleive, I totally spaced out that I have an old porta boat with a 4 hp buried in the garage. When you get hooked on tubing you don't want to "bother" with boats and all. Haven't used it in many years. I guess, if I'm going to enjoy any state parks with Sparky I'm going to have to get it out and give it a try. Sounds worth it for Sand Hollow. Sparky has never been in a boat, much less a squishy porta boat. Should be fun.[] I'll have to wear my life preserver for sure. He needs a little boat training anyway.
