[#0000ff]Brett Prettyman, outdoors writer for the Salt Lake Tribune, and Kathy Stephenson (food writer) often team up to do "hook and cook" articles. Since I do have a measure of notoriety on both subjects, I sometimes get calls or emails for help with putting together some of their articles.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]For this catching and cooking combo, I was asked to gather a few cataholics from BFT and to convene on Utah Lake. We had a pretty good turnout, considering that we had to have the fishing on Wednesday. And, a cold and blustery Wednesday it was. Really put a damper on the temperature conscious kitties, but we scored a couple. Just to make sure we had fixins, I had brought along a few extra fillets from my personal stash.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]By the time we set up the propane burner, for the fish fry, the wind was blowing a gale out of the north. We had to set up barriers around the burner to keep it lit. Still, we turned out several batches of Kitty Krispies and hush puppies.[/#0000ff]

How often is he in the papers and stories of tubing's? In the Chicago Tribune sometimes talk about fishing all over and other things as hunting, wooden duck carvings, and some not too interesting stories.... Hey where's yours as you are pretty good on the fishing too!

[#0000ff]All false modesty aside, I am a published author and I have done lots of media stuff over the years. I have taught classes on fly tying and fly fishing, and have held quite a few seminars on everything from float tubing to fish cookery. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Since moving back to Utah from Arizona a couple of years ago, I have done several radio interviews for BackCountryUtah and have participated in the fishing theatre presentations at the ISE. Must be because I am easy. It ain't because of my good looks and sweet voice.[/#0000ff]
