Outboard 2 cycle oil which one?

Ok i need some oil but is there a difference in quality ? I have a 115hp ans a 8 hp evinrude motors.Wally world sell pennzoil 2 cycle oil is this a good brand? I used up the previous oil which was Quicksilver and it worked good but i dont know where to find it.

Penzoil make a new synthitic one that works wonders. it is more but doesn't foul the plugs as easy

I run Yamalube synthetic oil and it has worked great. You have lots of good choices.

Yamalube!!!! Really ? I thought they were just for bikes. We sell it at my job so that would be great if i could use it.Guess i am gonna give it a try and see how it works.I have gallons of it for my bikes.

Quicksilver is good oil...it is Mercury's brand. Any place that sells mercs will sell you quicksilver oil. I think as long as you stick with a reputable brand, you will be OK.

I run blue marble oil in my snowmobile. I get better gas mileage and hardly any smoke I'm sure it would do the same for outboards! It is awesome stuff![]

I use the wally world Penzz and have never had any problems,20 hp mariner and 6 hrs plus at a time with no problems with fouling or loading up!!just my 2 $. M.H.

I purchase it from Robertson's Marine (1045 S Main SLC). They sell it in returnable containers. I still get some smoke, but it isn't as bad as the petroleum based products.

I don't think it matters much as long as they are TCW3 compliant. But there are two things you can do to make it easier on your outboard....
Don't swap back and forth between oils. Be as consistent as you can with the oil you run.
Good oils leave less carbon build up and burn cleaner but you can make up the difference of a fair or poor oil by running a decarbonizer in your gas tank. Mercury, and OMC have thier own brands. I'm sure Yamaha and others do to. A generic that can be found at NAPA and other corner auto parts stores is the "Seafoam Deep Creep".
Oh, by the way, if you haven't decarbonized your motor for a while or never, prepare for it to smoke terribly for the first couple of trips out.
