[size 1]I will be spending the week of the 4th in Sandpoint, ID. It's my first time there and was wondering if anyone had some fishing tips. I found some charters online. Anyone know of a good one? What's the catch rate like? I like to fish for anything but won't have a boat. Is there any fishing that would be accessible from a kayak? Any river/stream fishing? Any help is appreciated. [/size]

They have some great golf courses there - lots of water..... [unsure]

The river is pretty good for Bass and lots of local lakes for trout - standard planters...

I worked up there three years ago on a three month long summertime project but I didn't get to fish much, unfortunately. When I did get a chance, I preferred Priest Lake, which has pretty good shore access. The native Idahoans told me to fish Pend Orielle in the winter for big lake trout. Where you are going you can get into Montana, Canada, Idaho, and Wyoming in thirty minutes or less. During part of the project, I stayed at the Motel Six just as you cross Pend Orielle and leave town, going North toward King's Gate, Canada. Wish I had gone into Canada when I was up there but I was working 7-12's and only snuck in a little fishing because of some brief equipment downtime.
