Powell Trip 6-22-25
#1
Headed down to Powell last thruSady.Got to analope point marina around 6pm,launched the boat ran up lake to navajo canyon.Caught a few stripers and smallmouth bass thought this was going to be awsome weekend!!..Friday morning 4am launch agian decided to run my reserve tank dry then fill it back up when we went back in,my motor starts to act up and starts shutting down..after trying a few mor e times it got really bad and would not run for very long and would cut out.Found out there was water in my gas from that tank.So ran to walmart and checker for a new filter and gas treatment empty the bad gas out and drained my lines and replaced the filters..should be good to go right???..WRONG..still would not run above 2000 rpm.So I took the carb off and cleaned the gas out of the fuel bulb (witch had a little water in it still) thinking awsome its all gone we sould be fine and could get back on the Lake..Got there tried to start it ZIIIIIPPPOOOO..so we run back to checker in page meet a one of the guys there (Don) he helped us the best he could while at work, thought the pin was sticking so offerd to rebuild it at his home at no cost to us just parts.I took him up on this and so he tore it all apart and said it looked great but had crap in it that may have caused the problem..Feeling good about ourselves we went back SAT. Morning..NOTA ZIPPPPPPP..still having the same problem.TO make a long story short we never could get it to run after rebuilding the carb, putting new plugs and cap on.We did go fishing around 9pm last night on the docks and caught some nice channels and a few small stripers and one smallmouth on anchovie.

Its really hurts when you have a boat that runs perfect and then craps on you when you decide to take it out of town with you.If theres anyone out there that my have any suggestions that i might could check to fix this problem feel free to respond.I am so puzzled why what we did didnt fix the problem.Sure a waste of money and time to go all that way and not get to fish like you wanted....[pirate]

[red]Man that is too bad. Sounds alot like a Gorge trip I took a couple of years back. It is not fun when you fork out alot of time and money to go on a big trip like that, to end up having it cost alot more money and frustration. Let alone not be able to fish either![/red]
