I want to take the family out for some fishing and crawdad catching... Anyone got some suggestions??
I am thinking Strawberry but I do not know where to go...
I will be shore fishing with wife, baby, and two boys 4 and 10...
Anyone have some good recipes for the 'dads??

The rocky shorelines of soldier creek have been producing some monster 'dads. Pretty hard to beat a chicken leg on a rope or trap. My daughter uses her butterfly net and just sets it as far out as she can with a drumstick in it.

Soldier Creek has always been the best for me.
They make some crab boil packets that are pretty tasty, you just get the water boiling and dump them in and it's all pre-measured and ready to go. Or I will just get the water nice and rolling and put in a couple heaped tablespoons of pickling spice, garlic salt, and a can of coors or budweiser. If the beer is cold (as any good beer should be), get the water rolling again and then dump in the dads until they are red.

A great place to catch "dads" is at Starvation! I always take my kids up around this time of year when the water is warm and the kids like to catch crawdads all day but they especially like to catch them at night with flashlights!
