Zonker...the bonneville dam

Every now and then I would log on and watch a little. It got me wondering...all those fish that passes thur the window slot, where do they all go? It never stops... one fish...two fish...three fish...golly there's tons of them!

Those Columbia fish are headed for parts far and wide. This major US river supplies fish to Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Runs are large and stretched over months in several different seasons. A look on a map of the Western US will give you a fair assessment of the extent of this river. I live on a tributary of a tributary of a tributary of the Columbia. The fish we get head up the Columbia to the Willamette, then the Santiam, then the South Santiam. They exit the mighty "C" before they get to the camera at Bonnyville. It is a huge system.
