I was wondering if anyone out there has a Dave Scadden "Skykomish Sunrise" Pontoon. I am looking at getting a second toon and have been eyeballing this one. It is a bit spending but it looks like an awesome craft. Currently I have a sportsman 9 which I like, but I am doing extended river trips and would like a something a little better.

[cool][#0000ff]Scadden's toons are well made and worth the money if you plan to put them on "busy" water. They have optional standing platforms and lean bars to help with fishing upright.[/#0000ff]

Very familiar with the Skykomish. I chose the Cardiac Canyon )longer and smaller diameter toons, so not as wind resistant)
My brother was looking at the Sky, but chose the CC instead figuring that that standing platform being a great Idea, can't justify it. You can't float a river while standing unless you by the additional rudder, and we do very little sight fishing on stillwater to justify it. I understand that the platform is on the small size (size 9 to 10 foot), could be a problem. We have the two man and three man at the lodge and that standing brace can be a little scary. If you have to sit down, be sure to use the back of the seat, NOT THE STANDING BRACE! It will fold and you will be head first in the water.
I know it is a big selling feature to say "I can stand up on my boat", but just think about what I said for what it is worth.
