[red] Man, that is a great looking musky. What were you using or dragging? I got to get up there. How deep do think you were? How fast were you trolling?[/red]

Nice catch! You still have a few weeks of prime time to get that recrod.
So I take it that the water level is droping fairly fast?

Hey Nate-
That must really be some fishery! And those fish are so gorgeously colored. Do you have any idea how old that fish was? I need to do some research on those tigers' growth rates. Anyway, nice job and nice to see you doing what you love! You guys sure are lucky up there.

from what I have read its probably 6-8 years old. I am not sure? All I know is they are getting fat the last couple of years. The gierth on the big ones is much greater than a almost 50" fish was 3 or 4 years ago. If the water levels stay high for a few more years we might see a 40lb tiger in UT soon! Just look at hauser lake, MT or Quincey Lake, CO! It is a good possibility. Pineview has the food source and probably the greatest population of tigers anywhere! Who knows maybe one day it can produce the world record of 50+ lbs. Thats if the water depth can support a true monster!

[angelic]May wanna re-think fishing for those critters from a float tube. I don't think my basket would hold it!
